Stuff to Bring

The list:

  • Laptop for writing and editing pictures: IBM T43 (slowly dying).
  • Camera for the nicest photos: Nikon D70 with DX 18-70mm 3.5-4.5 lens (already no more auto-focus).
  • Camera point-and-shoot for videos: Canon A-570.
  • A tripod for night pictures.
  • Big backpack from Decathlon 80L.
  • Sleeping bag good to 0 degrees.
  • All the camping gears: stove, pot, tent, mini towel, Indiana Jones’  hat, fake Arcterix hiking pants bought in China.
  • A bit of money to survive.
  • English/Chinese dictionary in case my amazing skills in Chinese won’t be enough.
  • The Lonely Planet Central Asia Phrasebook, for some Uighur conversations.
  • Lonely Planet China.
  • A pair of espadrilles, the French shoes, for the style.
  • Some Q-tips.
  • Perfume.
  • A compass, in case I loose myself. (?)
  • Lots of useless stuff.
  • And a wonderful itinerary with many things to do and see and discover and get lost and ride camels and eat kebab…
Just a cool picture that makes me think about journalism somehow...
